hello ! you are receiving this message as update about Higui legal situation, and to act feminist support.

Higui is a lesbian from Buenos Aires, argentina. in 2017 she was in jail for 9 months, she is charged with murder because she defended herself from a "corrective" rape and one of the aggressors died. During her incarceration she received a huge solidarity, from many countrys, political mouvements and people. That’s because she has been exceptionally liberated. She is now waiting for the trial beginning, and she is asking, with the support group "frente para la absolucion de higui", to make visible international solidarity, in order to report that she is accused of murder by an omophobic justice.
SELF DEFENCE IS NOT A CRIME
That this night she just defended her life. And now she has to defend again. Our solidarity is really important to make feel pressure on the Tribunal. The idea is to act in front of the argentinian ambassy, according with the call from buenos aires.
Another chance is to show solidarity uploading a picture with the logo "yo tambien me defenderìa como Higui.. (you can find it linked here) as you can see in the fb page : Campaña para la absolucion de higui.
Other kinds of solidarity is also welcome if ther are no ambassy in your city.
An economical support for the legal team is also welcome (ask more info to the support group).

This story is not just about one persone, is about patriarcal justice and our bodys... so is very important to give a sign : the aquittal of Higui is about the right to defend ours bodys from gender violence and legal violence, and a victory can make the difference for a lot of people in the same situation.

The trial will start in the end of april, and THE CALL FOR INTERNATIONAL SOLIDARITY IS TO ORGANIZE BETWEEN THE 8 AND THE 14 OF APRIL.
